Sara Schuh MA, LPC-IT

Sara is a Master’s Level community counselor, earning a dual emphasis in school counseling.  As a therapist, she is able to integrate her knowledge of education and mental health issues to help clients problem solve, overcome personal issues, and work toward positive home and school experiences. Sara has experience working with children, adolescents, and adults in both community and school settings. She believes in a strength-based approach to counseling that empowers her clients to make positive changes in their lives. Where appropriate, mindfulness practice is employed as a gateway to self knowledge and self growth.

Real World Experiences

Sara has experience in private practice, academic, and community settings.  She enjoys working with children ages 8-17 and adults over the age of 18. Outside of private practice Sara has worked on program and curriculum development utilizing a dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) model and psychoeducation, and has facilitated both support and therapy groups. 


Sara currently holds a Licensed Professional Counseling- IT license.  She has a Master’s of Arts Degree in Counseling from Lakeland Community College with a Community Counseling emphasis and has a Bachelor’s Degree from Lakeland in Psychology and Sociology.  Sara is an active member of the Midwest Sociological Society and presented ”Assessing the Evaluation of the Smart-Girls Mentoring Program and the Needs of Local Adolescents” at their 2012 conference.
