Sara Schuh MA, LPC-IT

Sara is Novo Counseling’s Support Group Facilitator. Sara is able to integrate her knowledge of education and mental health issues to help individuals within her groups to problem solve, overcome personal issues, and work toward positive experiences. Sara has experience working with children, adolescents, and adults. She believes in a strength-based approach to empower individuals to make positive changes in their lives. Where appropriate, mindfulness practice is employed as a gateway to self knowledge and self growth.

Real World Experiences

Sara has experience in private practice, academic, and community settings. She enjoys working with children ages 8-17 and adults over the age of 18. Sara is active in her community as an advocate, promoting education involving youth. She represented Novo Counseling as an on-stage panelist following John Michael Kohler Art Center’s (JMKAC) 2017 screening of Real Boy. Sara presented “Assessing the Evaluation of the Smart-Girls Mentoring Program and the Needs of Local Adolescents” at the Midwest Sociological Society’s 2012 conference.


Sara holds a Master’s of Arts Degree in Counseling from Lakeland University with a Community Counseling emphasis and has a Bachelor’s Degree from Lakeland in Psychology and Sociology. She is trained and certified by the Association for Pet Loss and Bereavement (APLB) as a Pet Loss and Bereavement Clinician.
